WISDOM OF THE NIGHT

“There is a wide, yawning black infinity. In every direction, the extension is endless; the sensation of depth is overwhelming. And the darkness is immortal. Where light exists, it is pure, blazing, fierce; but light exists almost nowhere, and the blackness itself is also pure and blazing and fierce.”
~ Carl Sagan

ARTICLE OF THE NIGHT

“Sours” and “funky” brews have become my specialty in the past few years, but while they’ve grown ‘wildly’ popular America, they’re still insanely young compared to the scene in Europe. While IPA is still a trending force to be reckoned with, there is still vernacular that needs to be defined for these unique styles for the US beer scene. I’d love mixed culture to be the definitive, but definitely doesn’t have the perfect ring to appeal to those who are just starting off >>>more<<<

IMAGE OF THE NIGHT

I love Portland proper, but my favorite area will always be the Northeastern tucked away neighborhood of St. Johns. While it’s a bit of a drive to get to, it’s the journey over the simply gorgeous St. John’s bridge itself which takes the cake. Enjoy Occidental Brewing (hands down my favorite brewery in Portland) located beneath the bridge, while playing frisbee next door at Cathedral Park.  >>>more<<<

PRODUCT OF THE NIGHT

Alright, it’s officially spring (though the weather may prove otherwise), so why not start your summer game off strong with a dual person hammock? Ditch the tent and sleep under the stars in one of these bad boys >>>more<<<
