From those looking from the outside in, breweries and the lifestyle associated with them are often viewed like a yellow brick road, where we supply the alcohol AND the fun… This may come as a surprise, but I’ve experienced more stress with responsibilities in this industry than I have with any other job. When it comes to mental health, anyone who works within the brewery industry will tell you, you need to have thick skin at most times. As the industry continues to expansively grow, mental health is one at the top of lists of subjects that are absolutely not talked about…. Especially when paired with alcohol.  >>>more<<<

One of the bittersweet things I loved about living in Europe, and most extensively, Eastern Europe, were the amount of abandoned buildings and projects just left to ruins… All frozen in time, to view like a museum. One of the many things I despise about being back in the US is the cost associated with fresh produce, especially fresh herbs. Walking into our local grocery market, and discovered ‘fresh’ basil in a plastic container for $2.99… Outrageous, at least in my eyes. While we all might not live in the most pristine environments for growing everything we’d like to eat, growing herbs indoors these days is pretty easy!  >>>more<<<
